When an individual wants to work in the criminal justice system, he/she should consider obtaining a Criminal Justice degree. A Criminal Justice degree will provide an individual with the knowledge and the skills necessary to obtain employment in the justice system or in a law enforcement agency.
In order to obtain a Criminal Justice degree, an individual must graduate from high school with an exceptional GPA. He/she must then attend a four year college or university. Many universities offer Criminal Justice programs. There are also colleges that are dedicated entirely to the study of criminal justice, such as the John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City.
When completing a Criminal Justice degree, an individual will be required to take courses regarding U.S. Federal and State laws, important civil and criminal cases, law enforcement methods and techniques, and all other features of the criminal justice system. 
He/she must obtain high marks in these classes and complete all specified educational requirements.  Legal jobs will have additional information regarding legal professions and the process necessary to obtain employment in these fields.
